So the entire Seaquarium Beach area is easily accessible from these apartments. So the beach was only about 400 steps away, measured from my front door to the beach chair. These apartments are one street inland from Seaquarium Beach, on the other side of the road from Kontiki.

If you like a friendly, personal touch, you’ll get that here. The bedroom had two beds: a king size bed and a single bed The owners, Roderick and Gina, were friendly and helpful. It had two televisions (with a huge range of channels, including some in Spanish and Dutch), free wifi, a refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, and air conditioning in the bedroom. For this lower price I got a one bedroom apartment with a kitchen, a large balcony and a spacious living/dining area. It turned out to be a decent place and it cost a lot less. So I checked out the two-storey Sea Horizon Apartments, a small unassuming apartment building located in the middle of all these resorts. The regular hotels in this area (Lions Dive, Royal Resort, Kontiki, Bon Bini, Breezes) were all charging more than I was willing to pay. I would definitely recommend the Sea Horizon the economy minded traveller who enjoys a friendly, family type atmosphere but not looking for all the 'frills' associated my an upscale resort.…Īfter staying at a nice resort in the area of Seaquarium Beach, I wanted to extend my stay by a week, so I started looking around for an affordable place. Airport, and reasonable access to the 'Loop' roadway. The apartments are somewhat centrally located, approximately 30 minute drive from Hato Intl. Gina, the apartment manager, was friendly and very helpful to me, a newcomer to the island. The staff was friendly & responsive to any request I had.

The facilities are well kept and maid service is provided on a weekly basis. My apartment was a small one bedroom unit (2 beds), a bathroom (shower), and great room which contained the kitchenete. The Sea Horizon is a modest facility with secured gated access and very reasonable rates. Luckily I was able to find accomodations at the Sea Horizon Apartments for my remaining 3 week stay. The service there was poor and when my wallet was stolen my 2nd day there, the Plaza staff did absolutely nothing to assist me.
